The Dolphin, The Mermaid and The Pink Princess

A few years ago, a mermaid saved a young boy's life who was drowning in the ocean. With her magic powers, she transformed him into a dolphin. Eventually, having turned into a marine animal, he got used to his life in the se

He had fun swimming at a high speed, racing with big turtles. He made big leaps over the water and swimming through reefs. The dolphin was so happy

On occasion, the mermaid would venture down to the island's bay where the dolphin lived. His name was Andrew and he had forgot so many things at the moment when he became an marine animal.

As she  always was the only being he knew and who always came to visit him he loved her as she was his mother. They would always swim together, spinning in the sea, their eyes locked on each other's. They left large waves of water in their wake

You could see how they spread magic of it’s whirlpool. it passes next to coral reefs where fishes, stars and mollusks smiled when they sensed its presence.

When it was time for the mermaid to return home the dolphin was saddened, but he calmed when he knew she would return

One day, after swimming and playing in the water as usual, he began to eat algas in the seashore. In that instant, he could see the figure of a human being approaching to the beach: it was a woman.

To stare at her, blurred images of her from the past came to his mind. He was surprised  to realize  it was about the princess of the island.

She was wearing a large purple and pink dress with her long brown hair down. She turned back her face looking back while walking rapidly with nerves on. It was like she had ran away of the castle. She stopped in the seashore and  screamed

"Andrew, Andrew, I know you are there, Andrew

The dolphin was very surprised because it seemed like the princess had found out about its new status. but at that time, he didn't know what to think because he had already given its heart to the mermaid for saving his life. However, he decided to talk to her through the wind; when a gust went through her cheeks, he said,

"How are you doing princess? I long to see you.

"Andrew, Andrew where are you?" she screamed looking everywhere

"I'm here," he said and pulled half of his body out of the water

"That's truth, rumors said that you were here, I knew you were alive. I still remember you Andrew, I couldn't forget you. I'm still taking care of the flowers you gave me," the Princess said

"I'm ok princess, I couldn't forget you either," he replied

"It is time to go back but I want to keep talking to you," she screamed.

He was so hypnotized by her pretty face and her bright presence that he let himself get carried away; he made a strong gust of wind blow and raise the sand revealing a buried bottle

"Pick it up from the sand. Anytime you want to tell me something, blow the top of the bottle, think to yourself, and I will reply.

She went down to pick the bottle up, with embarrassment in her eyes as she looked at him. Then she walked away without a word, but with a new look in her eyes- satisfaction

Since that moment, the princess has stayed in her bedroom window, in the top tower of the castle. She’s been blowing the top of the bottle in hopes that the dolphin will receive her message through the air. Andrew has always replied, when the messages reach the bay

“Andrew when we met us the first time in my bedroom, you immediately stole my heart with what you did.

“Princess I came to the island because I was searching for the love of my life. I went to the castle because I suspected it was you, so it was

“Are you being serious? Aw, so sweet. My father is really controlling, jealous and he overprotects me. Wood soldiers and servants said you had survived the storm, they said that threes had helped you and a mermaid had saved your life.

"Where is she? Where is the mermaid? Is she the one who won't let you go back? Does she have you under a spell?

“I’m not sure about what happened. Please give me some days to think about it, I don't know what to do.

One day, the mermaid came back to visit the dolphin. Upon arrival, a wave of air passed over her ears and she could hear one of the messages the Princess had sent to Andrew

"You're not a dolphin, you're a human, you should find a way to come back; I want to live with you.

The mermaid realized what was happening. She became so jealous that she decided to swim ashore where the wind had come from. She raised her arms along with her tail and cast a spell.

She created an invisible barrier between the bay and the island, deflecting the two winds like a wall of glass. They couldn't reach each other any more

It's been too long, and the dolphin as well as the princess realize that they were sending messages but any of them replied. He didn't receive any messages from the princess and she never got any reply.

To the point where, the princess filled herself of intrigue and decided to go back to the beach to check what was going on

After a while, she arrived screaming

"Andrew, Andrew, why didn't you reply to my messages?

Immediately, the dolphin came out of the water and said,

"Princess, Princess I haven't received any messages from you for a while." In that moment, another voice barged in the conversation

"What's going on here? I just catched you in the act." The dolphin turned around and find out that the mermaid was behind their backs

"Eh, eh mermaid, what happens is that…" The dolphin started saying but suddenly the princess interrupted him

"We are just old distant friends misses mermaid who are coming back to talk.

"Do not lie to me, what you want is to turn him back into a human to run away with him to leave me alone.

"What is happening is that he is a human, and he deserves to be a human again," the Princess replied a little angry

"Mermaid, I promise you I won't leave you, and I will always come back to see you, but I want to be a human again," Dustin said

"That's fine, I will give you your legs back but to make sure you keep your promise, you won't be a normal human and I need princess magics' help.

"I agree," the dolphin said

The princess took out her wand and stood behind the dolphin pointing it towards him. While the mermaid was in front of him already, aiming her tail at him. A huge bright light could be seen around the bay.

In an instant, Andrew the dolphin transformed back to a human. At once, he gave the princess a strong hug, then he approached the mermaid and held her hands saying,

"Thank you, my savior, we will play as we always have." The princess went to live with Andrew, a now tall, thin, brown-haired boy in the castle of the island. They water the flowers of her garden everyday

He went every month to the bay to swim in circles with the mermaid as they always have done it. Except this time, as a dolphin man with a tail on his lower back and gills on his cheek.
